Develop Repeat Business

 

Do You know how many times a customer has been back to your website?  Or what their specific interests were? Have You followed up with additional information?  And have they been invited to join your online community or social network?
 
There is no doubt that Amazon lead the field in nurturing customers and encouraging repeat business:  “People like you bought things like this...” is a powerful service and gives a glimse of the depths of profile and products matching being undertaken by those with mega-budgets.
 
But the same principles of developing repeat business can be applied to all levels of business:
 
  • The daily or weekly email newsletter promoting products, services, insights and special offers isn’t rocket science...
  • Make sure your “Calls To Action” are clearly signposted and promoted, removing any distractions from landing pages.  Make sure that your resources are of high quality and will inform, educate and encourage visitors to convert.
  • Use online survey, Get Satisfaction, Net Promoter tools and other forms of user generated content to get feedback, testimonials and recommendations from visitors.
  • Invite visitors to engage with your business or organisation through invitations to join your online community in Facebook or LinkedIn.
